ROMAN EMPIRE. Late AD 4th century. Barbarous imitative AE3 (19mm, 2.08 gm, 6h). XF. Imitative issue of perhaps Constantius II as Augustus, uncertain mint. (illegible nonsense legend), pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of emperor right, seen from front / (illegible nonsense legend), legend in three lines within wreath terminating in large jewel; •III• below. Flan apparently made of lead, thus ineligible for encapsulation. This piece probably imitates the VOT / XX / MVLT / XXX series in RIC VIII. SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS
