ATTICA. Athens. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (30mm, 16.42 gm, 12h). NGC VF 5/5 - 4/5. New Style coinage, Demetrios and Agathippos, magistrates, ca. 99/8 or 98/7 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with a vine scroll, Pegasus above crude upturned cheek flap, protomes of four horses above visor / A-ΘE / ΔH-MH/TPI-OΣ / AΓA/ΘIΠ/ΠO/Σ (magistrates), owl standing facing on overturned amphora decorated with Γ (month); two caps of the Dioscuri surmounted by stars to right, ΛΠ (engraver) below, all within wreath.
