British Colony Counterstamped 1 Shilling 8 Pence ND (1758) VF35 NGC, KM4.3 (this coin), Prid-6. Displaying GR counterstamp on the obverse and reverse of a Philip V 2 Reales 1742 Mo-M from Mexico (cf. KM85). A remarkably difficult denomination in any sort of appreciable condition, accordingly ranking amongst the finest certified examples of the type. Made all the more compelling for its use as the plate coin in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, and a clear target for collectors of West Indies coinage.
