Republic Proof 50 Centimes 1882-(a) PR63 NGC, Paris mint, KM47, Arroyo-109. Typically a rather unremarkable issue, the 1882 carries the second highest mintage in the series. That being said, the type is almost never seen in Proof--only five pieces presently certified as such by NGC (just 2 finer than the present). Thick with die polish, the fields quickly come alight with their Proof glow when rotated in hand, light iridescence coloring the margins.
