MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm (25mm, 12h). NGC XF, graffito. Lifetime-early posthumous issue of Cyprus, Citium, under Pumiathon, ca. 325-320 BC. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΞANΔPO-BAΣIΛEΩΣ, Zeus seated left on backless throne, left leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; KT (Citium) monogram in left field. Price 3107. Interesting configuration of the name and royal title, with the Y missing from the end of Alexander. From the Amsterdam Collection
