Kaufbeuren. Free City Taler 1542 AU50 NGC, Dav-9348 var., Schulten-1557 var. With the name and titles of Charles V. A relatively early and incredibly elusive taler from this small free city that had only just had its right to mint confirmed in 1538. Well-struck with minimal weakness, and of a slightly different die style than the other examples we have been able to locate.
