The second date of this just three-year type, carrying the ECUADOR EN COLOMBIA legend prior to the inception of the later REPUBLICA DEL ECUADOR issues. Struck in considerably low purity silver in only very limited numbers, few from this series come in anything approaching AU, let alone containing clear surface luster and die polish lines.
