Republic "Volcano" Real 1834 SANTIAGO-IJ MS62 NGC, Santiago mint, KM91. Mintage: 16,000. A much scarcer fraction than the beloved and recognized Volcano pesos of the same series, particularly so as the first year of issue in near-choice condition. Admittedly struck from mildly rusty dies with clear die clashing on the reverse, the piece is beautifully centered and toned, with few overall marks over the surfaces.
