Republic silver "Potosi Proclamation" Medal 1852 MS63 NGC, Fonrobert-9562. 49mm. By F. Aramayo. A very rare medal, particularly in this lofty choice quality, and the first such example we have handled. Reportedly dedicated by the inhabitants of the city of Potosi to President Manuel Isidoro Belzu, this piece displays a handsome scene of the main square and the famous peak with a radiant sunface above, all aged to a deep argent patina with underlying golden tones.
