ATTICA. Athens. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (31mm, 16.74 gm, 11h). NGC XF 4/5 - 2/5, bent, graffito, edge damage. New Style coinage, ca. 119/8 BC, Polemon-, Alcetes and Theodotus, magistrates, magistrates. Head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with a vine scroll, Pegasus above upturned voided cheek flap, protomes of three horses above visor / AΘΕ ΠOΛEMΩN AΛKE-THΣ ΘΕΟΔ-OTOΣ (magistrates), owl standing facing on overturned amphora inscribed with M (month); Helios driving facing quadriga in right field, all within olive wreath.
