Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with three laurel leaves and vine scroll / AΘE, owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig with berry and crescent moon behind, all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1596. Starr Group V. Errata - this lot was originally cataloged as 465-455 BC with a note stating the holder was in error. However, after consulting with NGC, the determination has been made the coin is from the beginning of the 440 BC mid-mass issue or the transitional period just prior.
