This stunning, colorful denomination was one of the final banknotes issued during the second Republican era, just one year before the Spanish Civil War. Hernan Cortes is the subject of this denomination, with his portrait and Mexican palace at front. On the back is "Hernan Cortes burning his ships," as translated. This type is rare in this grade and very pretty.
