This scarce type is the initial note cataloged for the Irish Republic, and is the first banknote to feature Lady Lavery. Unusually good grade is seen on this example. In fact, there are only three examples graded in the PMG Population Report at the time of cataloging. Although this style remained relatively unchanged for 40 years, this is the first date and issuer, and as such, is very rare today.
