Bermuda Bermuda Government 10 Pounds 28.7.1964 Pick 22 PMG Extremely Fine 40. An iconic Queen Elizabeth II emission and the highest denomination of the final series of Sterling banknotes for Bermuda. The first shipment of £10 notes arrived in Bermuda in late 1964, but the notes were relatively unpopular until 1966, which coincided with the devaluation of the Pound. This was a useful denomination for larger payments, from 1966 until 1970, at which time the note was withdrawn and new decimal banknotes were issued. A short lifespan, high denomination spending power, and a thorough redemption program all explain the rarity of this banknote today.
