Description

British Colony 9 Shillings (9 Bits) ND (1811) VF35 NGC, KM-A14.1, Prid-3. 23.99gm. Displaying an octagonal central hole cut from a Charles V 8 Reales 1791 Mo-FM (cf. KM109). A notably fine grade for this widely collected West Indies issue, with the majority of surviving examples coming heavily circulated and rarely escaping Fine, the finest at NGC ranking as a mere XF. Despite clear rub on the host coin, the integral details remain fully discernable and have developed a pleasing argent color.
