Description

Charles & Johanna (1516-1555) gold Cob Escudo ND (from 1535) T-M MS62 NGC, Toledo mint, Cal-61, Cay-3150. 3.32gm. A generally rarer mint for the type, itself preserved in exquisite condition for the issue--the whole of the design captured owing to a slightly oversized flan. Carefully executed throughout with ample die polish, and far superior to what is usually seen. The ideal type coin.
