Description
Elizabeth Rouble 1760 CПБ-ЯI AU50 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C19C.4, Petrov-4 Rub., Bit-291 (R). Perhaps one of the most attractive portrait types from this tsarina's reign--just behind the beautiful patterns of Jacques Dassier--the illustration of Timothy Ivanov finally granted Elizabeth a more humanistic feel after the cartoonish engraving of her earlier roubles. It is worth noting that this is only the second representative of the date we have seen, and by far the finer of the two.
