Description
Republic silvered bronze Pattern 8 Reales 1840 Do-OMC MS61 NGC, Durango mint, KM-Pn59. A rare pattern striking for the Durango mint, struck in bronze and subsequently silvered, lending a unique appearance to the piece that is easily discernible from those of circulation-issue 8 Reales. Lightly toned over shimmering surfaces, with pleasing darkened accents emboldening the devices. The only example of its type currently certified by NGC.
