Description
Republic gold 50 Francs 1878-A MS64 PCGS, Paris mint, KM831, Gad-1113, F-549. Mintage: 5,294. Near the peak of the certified population, and a generally low mintage date which rarely comes this nice, the surfaces abounding with cartwheel luster, and observing a paucity of serious marks. To-date we have offered only one other example of this date in this grade, which brought $5300 in our 2018 August ANA sale.
