Charles IV gold 8 Escudos 1792 So-DA AU55 NGC, Santiago mint, KM54. A premium example of this issue from a mintage of only 38,000 and not often seen in higher grades. Essentially full luster remains, with very little in the way of wear upon a slightly soft strike; perhaps the presence of a scratch along the collar of the portrait precludes a higher grade.
