SARMATIA. Olbia. Ca. 320-280 BC. AV hemidrachm (11mm, 2.10 gm, 12h). NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 2/5. Head of Demeter left, wreathed with grain ear / OΛ, dolphin left. Anokhin 291. Karyshkovskij p. 267, 25–40. Frolova & Abramzon 695–6. SNG Black Sea 550. SNG Pushkin 138. SNG Stancomb –. Extremely rare - around 10 known examples remaining. Karyshkovskij documented 15 examples of this coinage in his study, however six have since been stolen with other gold objects and melted. Seven of the remaining are in museums.
