MACEDON. Acanthus. Ca. 470-430 BC. AR tetradrachm (30mm, 16.84 gm). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 4/5. Lion springing right, with long curled tail, attacking bull kneeling to left with raised head, and biting into his hind quarters; Θ above, stylized acanthus flower below dotted exergual line, thick dotted border / Quadripartite incuse square, the interior compartments irregularly granulated.
