Description

Regensburg. Free City gold Ducat 1712 MS63 NGC, KM254, Fr-2500. With the name and titles of Karl VI. Expertly crafted on a lustrous planchet demonstrating deeply mirrored qualities, this choice 18th-century gold ducat expresses a degree of visual and technical allure that place it among the foremost gold pieces of its age and type. Not a point of weakness is to be found across the design motifs, with Karl VI's curls, garments, and armor sharply defined against each surrounding element, and the date, 1712, delicately stated within the lowermost crescent of his shoulder plating. A wholly admirable representative of Regensburg ducat coinage, one certain to enhance the prestige of whichever collection is fortunate enough to receive it.
