Republic Tsao Kun Dollar ND (1923) MS64 ANACS, Tientsin mint, KM-K678, L&M-959, Kann-678, WS-0105. Variety depicting the president in military uniform. Produced during the short presidency of Tsao Kun before General Feng Yuxiang's coup in 1924. A very impressive grade for this one-year type, with only 18 examples certified finer out of nearly 300 certified between NGC and PCGS combined, and just one out of those 18 ranking higher than an MS65. Boldly mirrored across both sides with alluring iridescent tone creeping in at the margins, hardly any of the usual flatness found atop the president's nose or his mustache, and heavy die polish visible even without magnification.
