Victoria "Inverted A/V" 50 Cents 1872-H XF45 PCGS, Heaton mint, KM6. Inverted A/V variety. A rather famous issue, due to a blundered legend that used an upside down letter "A" punch in place of a "V" in the spelling of Victoria's name. An error that was quickly corrected, though some managed to circulated, and those that have survived are considered rare. Offered herein, with mauve-gray surfaces, while mildly handled, and host to evenly worn devices over both sides. An interesting variety that remains demanded at all levels.
