A great rarity within the 19th-century Swiss 20 Francs series, boasting a comparatively very low mintage, with 100,000 produced the following year and 125,000 the next. Nonetheless still a more attainable date than the prohibitively rare 1893, 1895, or even 1887, only 7 examples currently awarded Mint State at NGC.
