After a long and decorated history of service to commerce across the expansive country, charted banks in Canada issued this desirable final banknote. Very infrequently seen in Uncirculated grade, this type was issued until 1945, after which time no new charted banknotes were released. The active withdrawal of chartered banknotes began in 1950.
