Canada Bank of Canada $1000 1988 Pick 100a BC-61a PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. An always popular and quite interesting banknote, and especially desirable in Gem Uncirculated condition. Enormous buying power prevented many of these notes from actually changing hands. It may be that businesses were reluctant to accept them. Nevertheless, this design issue circulated from 1992 until 2001. The example offered here features the first and more desirable Thiessen-Crow signature combination.
