Canada Bank of Canada $100 1954 BC-35a Devils Face PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. Bold inks and bright paper highlight this Choice Uncirculated example. There is only one prefix available (A/J) for this first series of Queen Elizabeth II $100 notes. Across the two signature varieties, about 2.4 million were produced and released, but were mostly redeemed in 1956 due to the public discovering a peculiar "Devil's Face" design in the Queen's hair. The Bank of Canada agreed that the design should be freshened a bit, and a modified hair design notes were released shortly thereafter.
