China - Ch'ing Dynasty (1644-1911) - Sycee - AR Hen’s Nest Sycee (43.79 g.) Uninscribed sycee for "Daily Use". The usually uniscribed sycee were called by the Chinese "broken silver", but due to their different shapes they were aso known as dish sycee, mirror sycee, hen`s nest, pumpkin seeds, etc. Hen’s Nest sycee is known for the several waves on the surface. This piece is assumed to be a Hen’s Nest sycee cast in Yunnan early 19th cent.
