Description
The East - Kings of Armenia - Tigranes II (95-56 BC) - AR Tetradrachm (15.59 g.). Antioch type, Tigranocerta mint. Struck circa 80-68 BC. Draped bust right, wearing Armenian tiara with five peaks and emblazoned with star between two eagles; within fillet border / BAΣIΛEOΣ TIΓPANOY, Tyche of Antioch seated to right on rock pile, holding palm front, river god Orontes swimming below to right; monogram in field, all within laurel wreath (Ref.: Sear 7202; MAC 434). gVF
