(Scho. 1218; Passon 41.6) Obv.: VOC-monogram surmounted by PAL / VIII / rev.: .: Arabic legend: benam sultan abd (allah) “In the name of Sultan Abd (Allah)”, refering to Sultan 'Abd Allah Qutb Shah (AD1626-1672) from whom the Dutch received the privilege of a Mint at Pulicat.
