Description

The Parthian Kingdom - Phraates IV (38-2 BC) - AR tetradrachm (14.65 g.), Seleukeia on the Tigris mint, Bare-headed bust left with royal wart on forehead, short pointed beard , square cut at the end, wearing diadem / Tyche presenting palm branch to king instead of diadem. Greek legend around. Seleukid era date in exergue. Ref.: Sellwood 51.31; Shore 51.31. VF
