Timor - 5 Patacas ND (1945 - old date 1.1.1924) Steamship at left + Junks at right (P. 10) - ovpt. Pagavel em Timor on face and back on Macao #8 - VF+ / A well preserved example of this large format note, which was overprinted for use in Timor after Portugal regained control of the colony after World War II. Stocks of unused Macau notes were overprinted and shipped to the island for use to meet currency demands. For this denomination, only 122,000 notes were overprinted.
