Description
Morocco - State Bank of the Riff - 1 Riffan = 10 Pence 10.10.1923 (P. R1) - issued during the Berber Uprising (Riff Revolt) of 1921, between the Republic of the Riff and the Moroccan sultan and Spanish occupiers. Captain Charles Gardiner, an English arms smuggler, printed these notes. They circulated next to Spanish and British currency - PMG 63 Choice UNC EPQ
