Q. Voconius Vitulus - AR Denarius (Rome AD 40 (?, or later), 3.54 g) - Laureate head of Julius Caesar right / Q VOCONIVS Calf walking to left, VITVLVS Q DESIGN in ex. (Crawford 526/4 / Sydenham 1133) - a very rare coin, a.VF, small banker's mark obv. The moneyer's cognomen Vitulus means 'calf', hence the calf on the reverse as a 'personal touch' of the moneyer.
