* The 1927 silver coins series - from Crown to silver threepence - saw a complete transformation of the reverse coinage designs of the earlier part of the reign. This was Kruger Gray's heraldic series. The Royal Mint made a small number of 6-coin silver sets with a matte proof finish, apparently for photographic purposes. Excessively rare.
