Jovian, AD 363-364. AE 1 (28.50 mm) minted at Thessalonica. Diademed, cuirassed and draped bust right of Jovian. Reverse: Emperor standing holding Victory on globe and standard with Chi-Rho. RIC VIII, 235 [as Scarce]. Surface a little mottled. Glossy, dark greenish-brown patina. Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $500 - UP
A transient denomination issued by the short-lived emperor Jovian, reigning only from 27 June AD 363 to 16 February 364.
