1804 C-7 R4 Spiked Chin VF35+. Slightly sharper but there are microscopic hairlines on the obverse. The only notable contact mark is a diagonal nick in the hair at the forehead. Chocolate brown with frost in protected areas on the reverse. Sharply struck EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die cracks. An important example of this rare variety with sharpness comparable to the famous Showers-Missouri Cabinet example (Goldbergs 1/26/2014:68) that brought $13,800. At the lower end of the condition census and a highlight of the RES Collection. Estimated Value $4,000 - UP
