ATHENS, Tet, 449-413 BC, Athena head r/owl stg r, S2526; Choice Mint State, excellent metal with lt tone & underlying luster, perfectly centered & very sharply struck, with the obv hair waves totally crisp. That's what I look for on these. Most examples from recent hoard lack this. ( At least equal to the one in my 12/21 sale bringing $3601; An EF realized $9200, Triton 1/12; GEF $17,000 NAC 10/08.)
