Thrace. Thracian Chersonese, circa 386-338 BC. Silver Hemidrachm ( 13 mm, 2.39 g.). Forepart of lion to right, head reverted to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with alternating raised and sunken quarters; VE monogram and a lizard in the opposite sunken quarters. McClean 4107; HGC 3.2, 1437. Good very fine.
