ΗΓΕ ΤOΥΛ ΜΑΞΙΜOΥ ΑΠOΔ ΥΠΑ ΦΙΛΙΠΠOΠO; bearded river-god (Hebros) reclining, left, holding ears of corn and poppy, resting on vase from which water flows; behind, tree. Varbanov 799; RPC IV.1, 25007 (temporary). An old scratch on the reverse, otherwise, very fine. Rarer type with an interesting image of personification of the river god Hebros.
