Description
Thrace. Serdica, Lucius Verus, AD 161-169. AE (Bronze, 27.5 mm, 12.40 g.). ΑΥ ΚΑΙ Λ ΑΥΡΗΛΙΟϹ ΟΥΗΡΟϹ, laureate head of Lucius Verus with traces of drapery to right. Rev. ϹΕΡΔΩΝ; turreted female figure (Tyche or Homonoia?) seated left, holding scepter and cornucopia. Mouchmov, Serdica 21-2, Ruzicka, Serdica 19 corr.; RPC IV.1, 7396 (temporary). Very fine with a glossy dark patina.
