Thessaly. Trikka, circa 440-400 BC. AR Hemidrachm (Silver, 16.3 mm, 2.84 g.). Youthful hero, Thessalos, nude but for cloak and petasos hanging over his shoulder, striding right, holding a band in both his hands around the head of the forepart of a bull moving right. Rev. TΡ-IKK-A-ION (part retrograde), forepart of bridled horse to right, his head turned very slightly to front. BCD Thessaly II, 775.2-3; HGC 4, 311. Lightly toned. Good very fine. An attractive Classical specimen of Thessaly!
