Tiberius, AD 14 – 37. AR Denarius (17.9 mm, 3.72 g.). Lugdunum mint. [TI CAESA]R DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, laureate head of Tiberius to right. Rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia, as Pax, holding long sceptre and olive branch, seated right on throne with ornate legs, single line below. RIC I2 30; RSC 16a; Sear 1763. Lightly toned. Struck with a slightly worn reverse die. Good very fine. The so called ‘Tribute Penny’!
