Thrace. Thracian Chersonese, circa 386-338 BC. Silver Hemidrachm (12.9 mm, 2.36 g.). Forepart of a lion to right, head reverted to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with alternating raised and sunken quarters; AΓ monogram with pellet and grain ear in opposite sunken quarters. McClean 4089; HGC 3.2, 1437. Test-cut on reverse. Toned. Good very fine.
