Celts in Eastern Europe, circa 3rd century BC. Silver Tetradrachm (22.6 mm, 11.93 g.). „Kugelwange” Type. Celticised, bearded head wearing reversed laurel wreath to right. Rev. Stylised horse with point mane to left, under the horse’s tail point, above large Θ (circle with dot), around border of dots. Göbl, OTA pl. 17, 193/3 (same dies); Lanz 465-66 (same dies). Toned in the deep areas, some areas of flatness, otherwise, good very fine.
