Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX, 1282-1328. Electrum, Hyperpyron (25 mm, 4.0 g.), Constantinopolis. Bust of Virgin Mary, orans, flanked by two stars, all within city walls furnished with four groups of towers. Rev. Christ blessing Andronicus II and Michael IX, kneeling to left and right, respectively; in fields, IC - XC. DOC 417. SB 2396. Very fine.
