Struck under Caracalla IVLIA PIA FELIX AVG, diademed and draped bust of Julia Domna to right. Rev. IVNO, Juno, standing, veiled head to left, holding patera in her right hand and scepter with her left; at her feet to left, peacock standing left, head turned back to right. Banti 19. BMC 207, (Caracalla). RIC 584 (Caracalla). A wonderful sestertius with a lovely green patina, struck on a broad flan, very well centred and sharply struck. A powerful and mighty portrait of the Empress. Minor marks, otherwise, about extremely fine. A very attractive specimen of a fine style.
