Thessaly, Pharsalos, late 5th. -mid 4th. Century BC. AR Fourée Hemidrachm, signed on the obverse by the engraver Telephantos (14 mm, 2,56 g.). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet with raised cheek pieces; in tiny letters behind neck, TH (initial letters of die engraver's name). Rev. Φ–Α Ρ–Σ (last two letters retrograde) head of horse facing right, all within a shallow incuse square. BCD Thessaly II-655; SNG Copenhagen-222; HGC 4-634. Fourée but as a such very well preserved, only a minor area, where the silver surface is missing. Rarer with the engraver's name.
